I dont know what your budget is, but i would rim the edge of the fountain in candles, varying heights and maybe with no holders, just thick cream candles - really over flowing, and then I would defintely float the flowers and maybe try to hang some crystals...I look at the space and that fountain and it screams sophisticated glamour and I can see it all lit up with candles and dripping in crystals --- black glass and black crystal are soo in right in terms of interior design and that space would look amazing...you could always drape fabric around the base so that it swags if you want something soft at the fountain....(sorry to go on, and on...) oh and all of those suggestions are based on the idea that the shower is at night....what time of day is it athuh.gif?

hi,

i am a wedding planner and designer in california so i do decor all the time my recommendation is to have rose petals and floating candles all thru out the fountain.

lots of both (if it is daytime obviously not many candles are necessary).

it would look gorgeous and not too expensive!!

good luck!

Anny I was going to say do either rose petals and floating candles or do floating flowers kind of like the pic you posted with the candles. But I agree with Joellen I love the rose petals and then the floating candles. I think it gives it romance and sophistication. That place is beautiful btw! I hope you have my seat reserved already. LOL. I guess you will have to tell your FI that you need a vacation to NY b/c you will have to hand deliver my invitation.

That's what I was thinking too--- I can totally see that---- soften the overhead lighting a bit and let the candles provide the soft lighting.... very simple, but powerful, especially with the swag...

Thanx a lot girls!!!!!! Toby I liked the idea of fabric and large candles.. the shower is at 5.. maybe I could change it to 6 to make it darker and more apropiate for candles 'cause the ceiling is glass and there's a lot of light comming in..

Glenda of course you have your sit!!! I would love to go to new york to deleiver the invitation!! I'll tell my FI and maybe we can fly next weekend hahahaha

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
