Hey ladies... I am getting married at the Grand Lido Negril. The first night we are reserving a few tables for guests that arrive early for a Welcome dinner (al inclusive, no additional cost to us. The night before we are having our 'rehearsal diner' however invited all guests and having a jamaican themed beach party where we will pay about $5 per head for buffet and full bar on a sectioned off part of the beach. we are also thinking of hiring a steel drum band or fire swallower for a few hours. Sat for the wedding we are having a private reception again $55 per person 5 hour buffet open bar. we are hiring a DJ. we are sooo looking forward to it.

I don't know if your all-inclusive resort has a-la-carte restaurants, but mine did, and everynight we had reservations to different ones. It made everyone feel as if they were at a fancy restaurant and we were picking up the tab! But it's an all inclusive so it's free!! lol

During the daytime they did whatever they wanted. Many just enjoyed the beach or pool on their own. They loved the fact we got together as a group for dinner. Especially sine afterwards, we'd hit the bar/club as a group as well.

I was able to do 1 excursion with a group of 12, 2 days after the wedding. It's hard to get everyone to agree.

Most of our guest are saying for a 5 days, Monday to Friday so Monday when we arrive we are going to have a cocktail party, possibly dinner on Tuesday (haven't decided yet) and the wedding on Wednesday. Thats all I have decided to plan out for people. I realize it is there vacation and they should have the right to enjoy it themeselves.

I agree...It was just a question, that I thought we could discuss.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
