Sarah, At this point $300 is sounding like a steal! $300 was about what I had expected to spend. But alterations are highway robbery!

My friend brought a wedding dress from a bridal store and alterations were free. Did you not buy your dress from a store? I guess someone else would know better than me about the cost, but really, that seems a bit high!
Jessica ~ You're lucky you didn't need alterations. I bought my dress online instead of at a bridal salon.

But I'm having the same stuff done to my dress are you are to yours. OMG if that's what they tell me, I will fall over.
Tammy ~ I'm sure yours won't be that expensive. I'm curious to hear how your fitting goes and how much it is going to cost you.

They are just making money off of you because you didn't buy your dress from them!!
Natalie ~ The alterations place I took my dress to was actually part of a dry cleaners. But, they are in La Jolla. Have you heard of La Jolla? ...Let's just say add 100% to the cost of anything in that town....way out of my league. I think they saw me coming in my levis, flip flops and long sleeve target t-shirt....HA!!

the price of my dress included a hollow to hem ( i think that's what it's called anyway) so i am hoping that i have minimal alterations. mainly just put the boobie holders in! and since i am clearly not losing any weight - there shouldn't be much to take in either!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
