Dallas girls - Limo Service Help

Sorry to be lazy, I just went ahead and copied my Bulletin off of Myspace... cheesy.gif

Quote:
Hey, does anyone out there have any connections with a limo service in Dallas? Martin and I have decided not to drive on Halloween, and are considering a limo if the price is right. It would totally fit in with our costumes; we'll be going as Hugh Hefner and Holly Madison wink.gif

Also if anyone's interested in sharing a limo then holla! We'll probably be going to Lee Harvey's, Zephyrs and maybe another party.

But honestly we don't have a shitload of cash to throw out there, so the only way we'd go is if we really got a deal.

So if you do happen to know a friend or family member in the biz and would be willing to pass on their info I'd appreciate it!!!

We're also planning on just going around to a few companies around Oak Cliff (where we live) and letting them know that we'd be interested in any cars they might not be able to rent out that night... for a discount of course - if not, we're fine taking a cab, but a limo would be pretty sweet... I haven't been in one since Prom!!!!! wink.gif

Thanks Lisa. Do you even have an idea of how much the normally cost?? It's been like 10 years since I've been in one... most of the sites I've looked up say to call for a quote, which I'm too lazy to do. I tried putting Martin in charge of this one, but... well, you probably know how that goes. I'm sure I'll end up getting stuck pulling it all together! cheesy.gif

And hey, nothin' wrong with passing out candy to all the CUTE little kiddos!! I actually love doing that! However, we live in a gated townhome complex with no kids... boo sad.gif I would totally pass out candy and then go out if I could! So pass out some really good candy for me... y'all can be those "cool people" who give out the "cool candy" smile120.gif

In addition, each limousine service charges a standard gratuity which is based on the total fare. Gratuities averages are 15-20%. If your total rental bill is $300, expect to be charged a $45-$60 gratuity charge. Some companies automatically include gratuitiy in their fare estimates, while others do not. Either way, it is customary to budget gratuity in your rental cost. Limousine chauffeurs earn their living by gratuities much like waiters do in fine dining establishments.

Ok so I found a Limo Company (Blue Diamonds Limousines) who is featured on the Knot and they seem reliable. $390 for 5 hrs which doesn't seem to bad to me! Of course, that's a lot of money, but if we can find some friends to go in on it (it fits 8 ppl comfortably) it wouldn't be too bad...

Thanks again for that website Morgan, it had some great tips and that's where I found this company.

I'm hoping they work out and I can use them because it looks like a majority of their business is in weddings, and I could give them a review on here...

OK well the lady from Blue Diamond Limousines has not responded to my 3 emails and Martin's phone call/voice mail.

Seriously, too bad - she is a wedding coordinator (the owner) who is apparently recommended on the Knot and some other website. I'm pretty disappointed at her level of service so far... She emailed a quote but has failed to respond at all to our questions. HELLO - Halloween is TOMORROW (well, today - it's late cheesy.gif)

Anyways, they do a ton of weddings in the Dallas area and so I was really hoping to try them out and be able to write them a review on here... doesn't look like that will be happening. I gave her a final email asking her to confirm our questions by noon tomorrow, and if not then I will try and go find a different limo company last minute. Again, pretty disappointed by her service (esp given that she has been highly recommended by a few wedding coordinators). She knows I"m a member of this forum and I said I'd be happy to give her a review on her. Not good business to just not reply at all IMO...

Maybe someone will have an "extra" limo tomorrow that we could get for an even better price...! I hope so - I was REALLY looking forward to that.. *crosses fingers*

If she does come through then I will write a review just in case any DFW brides wish to use their services... so far it's not starting off great tho!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
