Hello all!! Wow! I am really starting to PANIC!! I am getting married 7-24-07 at El Dorado Royale. For some reason I have been acting like I have a year to get this together. The only thing I have done is send our Save the Date's...no dress, no invitations ideas, no plans. I need help! I hope you all will be able to shine some light on this!!!

Welcome aboard! I agree with Tammy. I would focus on getting your dress ASAP.

Second, let's think invitations. Are you a DIY person, or will you be ordering them?

ok! deep breath. but go find a dress!!! nicole miller has beautiful wedding dresses that might not take as long to get in as regular wedding gown boutiques. Nicole Miller

everything else is easier to take care of. you can make your invites in a weekend if you need to. and you can let el dorado royale take care of all the wedding details. heres a wedding and ss i shot there last year Leigh Miller Photography. i will be back there in may so before your wedding. im sure i will post that one here too :) have you been to EDR?

You can totally do this - no panic necessary! You've come to the right place for help ... just take a deep breath.

I agree so far - make sure you at least have everything reserved (ceremony, etc.). Are you wanting to plan a welcome dinner or rehearsal dinner the night before or anything? May want to book that too. The details (menu, decor) can be done a little later.

Then the dress - if you want a designer or something made, you may want to get moving. Off the rack can wait a little if you want.

Invites - like someone said - do you want to make them, or just buy them? Or do you wnat to just do an email type thing?

We can help!

Do you only have 5 people total? If so, It'll be a little easier to get everything together. I would focus on the dress and invites.

I would say, it might be better to DIY invites at this point just so you can get them out asap.

as for dresses, you should stat looking NOW because I know if takes a couple of months + to get dresses in at most shops. Maybe sooner with a rush order.

ebay is also another option to gt a wedding dress quickly. places like jcrew and nordstroms also have simple, but pretty beachy wedding dresses.

you're still doing ok...i have a client and member of the forum getting married at edr in may and they only booked the location etc. mid january, sent of the STD and just sent out the invitations and they have a big group...like 80 people.

if you need any of EDR's menues, etc. i posted them on this board but i can also email them to you.

Ditto on what the rest of the ladies have said. You need to find your dress. I know that Macy's has a bridal line and I have seen them in the stores. They are reasonably priced and look very nice. You should check them out.

Also you might want to consider doing your invites yourself. Just because you need to send them out ASAP.

Calm down. Everything will work itâ€s self out. :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
