My FI and will delay our HM 7 months after the wedding because I want to make it to my family reunion in the Philippines May 2010. So we have decided to have our HM at the same time in Asia. We're going to spend 7 days in the Philippines, 5 days in Thailand (Phuket and Kho Pangan) and 3 days in Bali. Cathay Pacific has a promotion called Asia Pass. We were going to do this trip this past May, except for Thailand; only Bangkok instead of the 2 islands, and the quote I got was $1500 per person for all RT flights from LAX-HK-Bali-Bangkok-Philippines-HK-LAX, taxes and other surcharges included. They didn't have the flights we wanted out of Bali to HK so we canceled, it's because we didn't inquire early enough. $1500 price per person is very cheap to get you to all the cities. When you get there food and accommodation is fairly cheap.

This seems like a lot of places and lots of traveling in 2 1/2 weeks but since we're already there might as well go to as many places as you can. Take advantage of it. Actually this is how we like to travel, see as many places as we can in one long trip.

If anyone is interested in a HM anywhere in Asia, check out Cathay Pacific or have your TA check out Cathay Pacific site because most of the promotions they offer require a TA. From what I remember the Asia Pass promo started end of December. Good luck everyone and happy planning!

I would do Moorea. When I was researching FP, it seemed like most people loved Moorea a lot. We were going to do Bora Bora and Moorea, even split between both.

We booked at a 5 star resort in Isla Mujeres, Mexico that hasn't even opened yet. The resort is called Privilege Aluxes, located on the northern part of the island. We are getting married at the Royal PDC and then going directly to our honeymoon. I found a fabulous deal online and we're saving about half of what we should be paying.

I have a question about honeymooning. We are getting married in Maui at the Grand Wailea. Although Maui is gorgeous, I'm not sure it will feel like much of a "getaway" because our family will be there. We were thinking of going over to Tahiti, Fiji, or New Zealand after the wedding. Any ideas? Has anyone ever done this?

Or, what other island in Hawaii would you recommend visiting?

thanks!

After a number of different ideas from Bora Bora to Italy to Belize we have finally found our honeymoon destination. We are going to stay in Mexico and travel to the Rivera Maya and stay at

The Tides Resort

private plunge pool, butler and outdoor shower......

I can't wait....

7 nights of just me and my hubby..... yeah.... We are planning to dive for 3 days, go cave tubing and to the waterfalls and spend a couple nights in Playa del Carmen celebrating.

Would love to know if anyone else gonna be in Playa del Carmen May 24-31st.

Happy planning

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
