Looking for a photographer in Cancun that doesn't break the bank

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have any suggestions of a photographer and videographer in the Cancun area? We are getting married at the CasaMagna Marriott in four months and the only thing I have ready is the wedding site and a dress (which I love and I will post a picture once I figure out how to do it.) I am in need of every detail from flowers to a photographer to welcome bags. I would love all the help I can get!

Welcome to the forum thewave.gif ~ you should definitely look through the Cancun/Riviera Maya section. There are tons of suggestions on these types of vendors from other brides! You can also implement the search option by using keywords (photographer, flowers, etc.) But start off in the Cancun/Riviera Maya section and I'm sure you'll find tons of great options!! cheesy.gif

What is your budget like? How many hours are you looking for and how much are you willing to pay? I probably have some suggestions. PM if you want.

Yeah, i would say this question is best answered when you learn how big your bank is! :) Do you want to spend $500 or $2000? What is your budget for photos.

Also, sometimes it's better to find a photographer that you love and fly them down with you! This way you get more coverage for your wedding, more photos, and typically a much better price.

Welcome to the forum. Yeah, definitely look at the Cancun/RM section--it's pretty helpful. When I was looking for a photographer I just looked at one of the photography threads to get some ideas. I also googled photographers in Cancun, which kinda worked. Good luck!!!!

I booked with Tamm's Photos- she does a fantastic job, and her rates are really reasonable! She is actually based in the US, but she does so many weddings in Mexico that she basically is a local photographer down there. Good luck in your search!

    • The cooking method can double the calorie content of a meal, so learn about healthy cooking without having to add extra fats, like using a steamer,  a rotisserie , a slow cooker , a pressure cooker, a grill. Once you cook your own meals, you can control the calorie content because your control the cooking method and all the ingredients. A lot of people are overweight because they keep eating food that they did not cook.
    • I have stayed at Dreams La Romana and Dreams Dominicus.  The two resorts are very different in style and decor. A few comparison points are below and fact sheets are attached for both.   Both resorts are approx 45 minutes from Punta Cana airport, close proximity to Saona Island, Catalina Island and Altos de Chavon. Top championship golf courses in the Caribbean are just minutes away including Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore, The Links and La Estancia – all designed by world-famous Pete Dye. Restaurants are similar at both resorts.  Both offer the Explorers Club for Kids.  Dreams Dominicus  Brand new resort and in 2016 488 rooms (however additional construction was underway) More contemporary style & decor Good beach area Rooms were very nice Preferred Club located in main lobby and adjacent to main pool & beach front Food was good Center plaza area with nighttime entertainment Main lobby is small, but outdoor bar off lobby is nice Dreams La Romana Originally built in 2003 & opened as Dreams La Romana in 2008 756 rooms Recently renovated and new preferred club adults only lounge & pool added  Rooms are more traditional Caribbean decor Grounds are very lush and tropical Good beach area food was good    Dreams Dominicus fact sheet.pdf Dreams La Romana fact sheet.pdf
    • My sister has done it but with the destination wedding, only super close family members and friends came since it was expensive and farther. It was great though.
