Did any of you Grand Palladium Jamaica brides have any trouble getting your official marriage certificate mailed to you? I got married at the GP on April 24th, and have yet to receive the official license in the mail - and haven't gotten any responses back from Jascynthia - anyone else out there receive theirs within 6-8 weeks?

Most of my guest will be Jamaican's living abroad and may stay with family instead of at the resort. Jacynthia had mentioned an event permit and said it would be cheaper than paying the addition per person charge plus the off site visitor pass but she's hasn't gotten back to me on how much this event permit would be...has anyone else heard of this?

Hello fellow GPJ brides!

We just received confirmation from Jacynthia that our wedding is booked for January 2010 at GPJ. From what I've heard from other destination brides, now that we picked our resort the actual fun in the planning will now finally begin! Thanks for providing so much useful information. We are sending our invites out on Monday..so exciting :)

Hello all GPJ brides!

I am getting married next June at GPJ, and I have a question for all of you. Are you bringing a photographer from home with you or are you using the resort's photographer? I was going to use the resort's photographer, but I saw on another post that they didn't do such a great job. Any advice?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
