NYC ladies... Who cuts your hair?

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I need a haircut and my hairdresser at my place has moved. This stinks cause she was awesome and I tried her replacement guy a few months ago and was not so happy. So... I'm open to suggestions from you lovely ladies. I would like it to be $100 and below if possible.

Thanks in advance!

Yamille,

I go to...

Ouidad Salon

37 West 57th Street, 4th Floor

(212) 888-3288

They specialize in cutting curly hair (not sure if this applies to you). The stylist I go to is a senior stylist and his cuts are $150+ but the Jr. Stylists are about $100. Every stylist is trained by Ouidad so they are all really good.

Ouidad.com: Ouidad Signature In-Salon Services

It sounds crazy but their hair cutting technique is patented (again only really for curly hair peeps)

my salon uses ouidad products and specializes in curly cuts but is not in nyc. it's about 30 min train ride, or 40 min by car and is $100. prob not worth it, but i love them.

it's antonio's salon and spa in livingston nj.

I love my hairdresser - and she's totally affordable, which makes it even better. It's been forever since I got a cut without color (she's an outstanding colorist, too), but I'm guessing she's about $75.

Lana at Shear Bliss

397 3rd Ave (between 28/29)

(212) 213-6050

    • What color is your wedding? You can go with warm autumn-inspired colors such as burnt oranges, dark reds, burgundy, bright yellows, like fall foliage   https://printsbery.com/invitations/wedding/burgundy   What planning have you guys done?
    • We booked our wedding for April 2021 but the venue let us know at this time they are still implementing Covid measures so we should not have more than 50 guests, etc. We also made sure the contract had an "out" clause that would let us get a refund should the pandemic blow up again, or have the ability to reschedule without penalty.
    • I am having my wedding scheduled in November 2020. I am too much worried about how all the things will be managed in this pandemic situation. About everything like the guest list, preparations, my attire and all. The only thing I am relaxed is about finances. In Feb only me and my fiancé applied for the wedding loans. We have applied early because both of us are having bad credit we had a doubt that it will be approved or not. But our wedding loans with bad credit were timely approved and we have planned accordingly but now this pandemic has spoiled all our preparations. We are trying to be positive and trying to celebrate our new beginnings.
