Aww, you should have come said hi! I wish that I would have made it over to the Santa Fe! There was just too much to do!!!

Here are some non-pro pix.... http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t31045
We haven't seen any pro's yet, but I hope by the end of this week I can post some.
I haven't written a review yet...it feels like too much work right now! Lol. I was sooo impressed with Suzanne Morel and her girls....your hair looked like it turned out awesome! cheesy.gif

Thanks for the review Kelly. I love your pics..love the ttd! I just got my confirmation today for 6/27/09 at Riu Sante Fe...I have a few questions if you don't mind.

your bouquet was beautiful..was that provided in the pkg?

were you glad you choose the beach/did you see any ceremonies at the gazebo?

was it expensive to get a different wedding arch..heard theirs is ugly!?

how was the food at the reception, did the set up look pretty?

how did your evening play out..once eating was done did you go to the disco/downtown for some dancing. Do you think it would be worth the extra $ to have a private reception just so you have speakers and a dance area?

Thanks for your input!

I went ahead a ordered my flower with my beach set up. That way I got a discount for having a package with them. I am so glad I did. I think in the package it was only $200, I know other brides have paid more from other florist. I saw pictures of the Santa fe's before I left and didn't like it either. I did see some wedding with it and it confirmed I did the right thing. Also they only have a few colors for chair bows none that I wanted.
There were no gazebo weddings while I was there. It is literally on top of the swim up bar pool.
THe food for the reception was excellent. I had to force myself to eat because I was so excited, but all my guest loved their dinner.
The setup was very basic, I brought seashells, seashell candels, blue marbles and hot pink rose petals. Then I order 5 floating gerber daises from the florist.
Once we were done eating, we seperated for a bit. And met in the center sqaure, where the entertainment was. Has drinks (shots) and had fun. Once the parents were done about 18 of us went into town and stayed out until about 3:30am. It was a blast. The private reception is really up to you. We did not want traditional, so it was no problem for us. I wouldn't change a thing we did. Personally it would have been worth the extra expense since it was an AI.
Let me know if you need anything else.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
