For me the reason I picked the Sheraton is because the very second I stepped onto the grounds there, I knew it was the place. Everything is just so pretty and gave me a "romantic feeling" just walking around, and I knew I wanted that type of reaction.

Cabo surf was a cute place, but for me I enjoy eating at different places and having a chance to be more private. Because Cabo Surf is kindof by its self and I knew I wouldn't book the place with our guest I didn't want to stay there. But the beach was amazing there.

The Hilton was also very pretty, but I went there after the Sheraton, and I liked the fact that they have several buildings versus just one large one. So it's seemed (IMO) more intimate.

Let Jess said, you really can't go wrong with most of the resorts. The only advise I can give is don't have your wedding on Medano beach if you want a beach wedding because it is very crowded there.

I agree Jessalyn. Between Sunset da Mona LIsa, Sheraton and CAbo Surf-- it is hard to decide. What is most difficult is that I haven't even seen any of these resorts with my own eyes. I guess after a site visit one would know but I can't do that so I am just relying on suggestions from Juan and you BDW brides-to-be and of course-- ours and our guests' budgets!

I was in the same boat at you, that's why I made a quick trip to Cabo to confirm the location. Sunset Da Mona Lisa I heard is AMAZING, and with awesome views but my FI didn't want to get married at a place called "sunset mona Lisa" lol.. I also heard it's a PITA to get to but once your there it's amazing.

Why don't you describe what you envision your wedding being like, what kind of "feel" are you looking for? that type of things, we might be able to help you narrow things down a little better.

Hi Tammy,

We have 16 children attending our wedding. Originally I really wanted Sunset da Mona LIsa and when I saw it in pictures I wanted so much to get married there. But with 16 children in the Sunset da Mona Lisa Salon, I was afraid that later in the evening they would start crying and running around! I thought that on the beach, the space is less constricted so kids won't be as restless perhaps? I even thought perhaps we can get married at Sunset da Mona Lisa and then move to the Sheraton for the reception. Is Sunset close to the Sheraton?

Hola Tammy,

I think we are deciding on the Sheraton. I love love Sunset. But with so many kids-- I know it will be difficult. When the DJ starts playing music, kids will be irritated after I think 5 hours of loud music. And the Salon where they have the reception is small. If we didn't have so many kids we would definitely go with Sunset.

I love kids- don't get me wrong. That is why I want to make sure I consider their needs. Some of our kids are babies like 2 and 3 year olds.

Yay!! Sounds like Tammy and I will have some company.....another Sheraton bride!! You're lucky....you'll get to see 2 sets of wedding photos (at least) from the Sheraton before your wedding!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
