Hair products recommendations?

Ok Ladies, any hair experts out there? I have long, naturally curly hair. I got a trim yesterday but the stylist and I agreed that my hair was really dry. Now I drink tons of water, take multivitamins, don't heat style, so we have no idea why. Here is the question what good shampoo and conditioner do you recommend? We think maybe the ones I am currently using are drying my hair out. They are Garnier Fructice. I use Redken fresh curls and Biolage Gelee for styling. Should I up my shampoo/conditioner to salon too? I'm not worried about price if it works good.

You should do a deep conditioning treatment one a week. I have the same problem with dry hair. Try Tresseme's moisture shampoo and the conditioner. Also, put a leave-in-conditioner when you get out fo the shower onto damp hair. If you are washing your hair every day, you may be stripping the natural hair oil from it. Did your hair stylist recommend a good product for your dry hair?

My two suggestions would be

1) Wash your hair only every 2nd day

2) Use salon products. I switched to salon products about 5 years ago, but I refuse to pay regular salon prices. I always buy them at stores like Walmart, Winners or Zellers for much cheaper than salons. In fact if I buy the litres (there is always like a buy one get the 2nd half price special) I find it works out to pretty much the same price as the drugstore brands (i.e. I will pay like 20$ for 2 litres, which is equivalent to 6 normal size bottles, which are usually like 350ml, so equivalent to about 3,50$ for a drugstore brand bottle!) There are also some salon "superstores" that sell the litres for cheap. In Ottawa we have one called Chatters, and another whose name I can't remember as I've never been. So the lesson here is, shop around!

I have very thick and naturally curly hair that I straighten. The only way I can even comb through it is if I use the Paul Mitchell Detangling Conditioner. I've tried a lot of the other store & salon brands, but for me Paul Mitchell Detangling conditioner makes the biggest difference. If I run out or can't find it I put my hair up in a messy bun and don't even bother because I can't comb through it. I like the smell of the Biolage products... but the conditioner doesn't work as well.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
