Wedding Colors

My niece fell in love with Gwen Stefani's gown, with the hot pink fade on the bottom. She's having a dress made with that same color and wanted something that would go with it, so chose orange, which is also very Mexican and tropical. It seems to be very popular right now.

I'm doing fuschia. I've never been a huge pink person but I love it for a tropical wedding, plus I wanted to keep it simple with one colour. My MOH is getting married (not DW) next spring and her colours are navy blue and orange which can be hard to work with (they'll look amazing at her wedding though!). I wanted to make it easy on myself, lol.

Also, the Knot has picture albums of weddings in every color - flip through and see if one really catches your eye.
Hi, I love your idea! I may consider it...lime green is a great color for a beach wedding!

This I think was the hardest part cause we kept changing it. wink.gif

I started looking through different photos of peoples weddings online. It took me almost a month but I kept coming back to the pictures that were mostly orange with accents of pink. My FI suggested using a sand and orange color scheme with accents of pink. Once we saw the three colors together we just knew it was perfect! It was that light bulb moment when everything just clicks. Carla wink.gif

I started with my bridesmaids dresses - I chose fuchsia because I love the color pink & I thought it would look amazing against the blue water and green palm trees. Then I think I am going to add orange and possibly some lime green and blue accents. I'm not 100% sure. It might be too busy, but I haven't ironed everything out just yet. I want vibrant tropical colors!

I wanted really vibrant colors too, but FI wasn't going for it. He would have everything pure white if given the option! Anyhow, I made a whole bunch of color samples in Photoshop and and had him pick the ones he like the best from each hue. We ended up with an entire color pallet of pastels, but I'm good with that.

My BM's are wearing brown strapless dresses. I'm having orange and fuchsia sashes made for them.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
