Anyone getting married at CSA in April/May?

Recommended Posts

That is the time frame I am looking at (we haven't picked an exact date yet). For some reason the prices start going up in June so I am wondering if that means that April and May are not a desirable time to go there for some reason...lol....can anyone fill me in?

I'm getting married at CSA in December. I don't think that there is anything wrong with April/May but more that June starts the summer season where more people are off and travel. Low season is always during hurricane season. If you are thinking about CSA for your wedding I will be posting all my pics/info after my wedding.

I was married at CSA in June and it was wonderful. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

You will be fine to go in April/May, it's just not as busy that time of year, which might be nice. The cheapest times to go are late Aug - Nov because it is hurricane season.

Thanks NJ Bride! I know I need to set a date soon, but am looking forward to hearing all the details of your experience in December! I see that you chose to have the wedding on Friday and take advantage of the beach party later - I was thinking about that as well.

I'm assuming you are using the resort photographer since that is after Oct.31st...I'm very interested to see how that goes. I have no reason to think negatively about them but after reading how people are so upset about the ban of outside photog's it made me kind of paranoid! haha

And ErinB I saw your write up about your wedding and it is one of the reasons I decided to go with CSA! Looks like you had a blast! Any advice you have in planning details is appreciated!

Tbird,

Actually I have an outside photographer. I was grandfathered in since I contracted in April. I have seen a lot of pics from people who used the resort photographer recently and they are very nice. Let me know if there is anything specific you want pics of and I will get them for you. Are you having a group or just the 2 of you? As for the Friday wedding thing I didn't know you couldn't have a private reception outside on a Friday, the beach party just worked out!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
