Did anyone cry at their ceremony?

Hi Everyone:

I am asking this question because every time i hear Canon in D i start crying...and not just like tearing up, but real crying. I'm not sure why, i think it's really beautiful, but not so beautiful that it makes me cry like other things. I think it actually sounds kind of sad. I REALLY want it at my wedding but I don't want to be crying as I walk down the aisle. I also think I'll cry at the ring part and maybe even the vows.

Are there any criers out there that did NOT cry when they thought they would? Also are there any non-criers that DID cry? I am allergic to alcohol so I'm doing this thing totally sober which is why I think i'll be crying. I hope it doesn't make FI bad because I'm SOOOO excited to get married but I just know i'll cry and ruin the pictures!

I am such a softie, I can prolly bet money that I'll be boo-hooing at my wedding. smile124.gif Especially because we're writing our own vows, I can only imagine what a disaster my makeup up is gonna look like post-ceremony, lol.

Nevertheless, I'm sure your FI will understand they are tears of joy ~ and catching that on film is a priceless moment you will appreciate years down the line. And hey a little touch up on the makeup and you'll be perfect once again! cheesy.gif

I am a huge cry-baby. I seriously tear up every time I hear the National Anthem. Hallmark commercials get to me and they are only 30 seconds long!

Surprisingly, I only teared up as I was waiting to walk down the aisle and then at the very end when we exchanged rings.

There is so much excitement, your brain will be going a million mph so you might just make it through! LOL

We both cried too. I blame him for making me cry because I was fine until we were standing there & I looked at him and he got teary. Ofcourse, that made me start crying...then what do you know my mom & a few other guests started crying too! The minister had to take a moment & stop speaking for everyone to pull themselves together! LOL

It was sooo funny to look through our pictures & see how everyone was crying at the same time!

I had totally told everyone that I was not going to cry & I couldn't help it!

I also cried at the end of the night as we thanked our guests for coming.

And even today, I get teary everytime I hear the song that I walked down the aisle too as well as when I hear our first dance song.

We both cried. His was much more in control, just watery eyes. and I was fine until I had to speak. Apparently, I can only control one thing at a time. So while I wasn't speaking, I was able to control the tears. But as soon as I had to speak, all hell broke loose!

I really didn't want to cry before the wedding, but I so don't mind that I did after the fact. That's just mean. Like Erin said above, I also cry at commercials and tv shows and reding books or magazines. So if I didn't cry at my wedding, i think something would be wrong with me.

I know I will be blubbering too. I have just decided that I will have to get some good water proof mascara and learn how to cry pretty :)

I cried in my car the other night because I saw an elderly couple holding hands as they walked across the street. Yeh, there will be no stopping my tears!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
