Attn: All you Computer Techies.. I need help!

Recommended Posts

Thanks you guys!!

Okay- the color green I want is the a lime green. Its the same green that I used for my monogram. So if you can see a different shade of green, please let me know.

I don't have photoshop here at home, I do have it at work. But I am not familiar with it at all.

Last night, when I installed the printer, it callibrated (?) on its own.

Anny- I changed the color setting to photo which lightened the green but I will try what you suggested.

Tammy, I think we need to start a new thread strictly for our non-nerd computer techies! I don't know where I'd be with out them.. I've had to contact MikkiStreak and Anny for help on my converting my mongram into an image! Can you create a banner- "Computer Techie" so that they are easily recognizable? J/k

And, please don't tell me an ink jet is better.. My FI went back and forth debating between an inkjet and laser and thought a laser would be better.. ugh! I am so gullible.

Hey Amy,

Ok, I put your image in Photoshop and the green registered at this color. If you are using RGB color is it R150, G202, and B3. If you are using CMYK, it is C40, M4, Y100 and K0. So, if you go into Photoshop and work on whatever image you are using, when you want a color, just plug those numbers in and it will match every time.

If you have questions about anything with Photoshop, or want me to convert something, work on it, whatever, just let me know. I was a graphic design major and now own my own Mortgage Company so I am always itching for a project, lol.

Amy I love love love my laser printer.. but I have it at work and I don't have a boss around and I can do anything I want with it.. but I would never buy it for home 'cause each toner cartridge is like 100 dollars and it needs 4.. how expensive are the cartridges for the one you bought?

Well, the toner is about $80 each cartridge. But the reason we got it is becuase we were told we could print about 1000 pages (and would last at least a year) before we needed new toner. As opposed to an inkjet which we would need to get cartridges monthly. But the printer was 10% off so I got if for about $290 (including tax). Its super fast and so far so good. I don't print much at home so I thought it would be a good purchase for all my DIY.

I hope I made the right decision.worried2.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
