I helped my sister make the flowergirl dresses for my wedding, but I did every last stitch, cut, and mistake (HA!) myself on this dress. It ended up pretty good too. By the end of the night, the belt wasn't really staying together too well, but I can fix that this week. The only problems that I had with the dress were the boob area didn't fit too well, which I think I will convert it from a halter into regular straps and then it lays much better. And the other thing was where the zipper and fabric meet, it wsn't too smooth. But all in all, I was still pretty proud of myself.

Now these are also the pictures I posted in the hair thread, so sorry for the duplication, but that's all I got! Also, don't mind my faces, I am really bad at getting my picture taken. It kinda makes me miserable having to be in a picture and it totally shows. Well, here ya go!

Oh, and I will try to have better pictures of it taken at Danielle's wedding on Halloween. Cuz these three are the only ones of me where you can even see the dress and you really can't see the whole thing at all.

Great job! My sister has been sewing for years. She will make her own bridesmaid dress and the flowergirl dresses for my wedding. I want a sewing machine for xmas so I can practice at home. My first dress could not be worn in public. Your dress turned out nice.

Carly, that is fantastic. I have heard (but couldn't stitch on a button) that shiny fabric like that is hard to work with... you did a fantastic job... and look great in it!

Congrats that is definately a great accomplishment

Totally cute! Love the dress AND your hair! I can see that it might fit better not as a halter, but that's probably an easy change for you to make. Right, Martha Stewart? ;-)
