Here is mine. I just love it. It is an actual antique ring from the 1920's. It is from an estate jewelry place in IL. The stone is .55 ct and looks gigantic on me. I guess I have small hands and never realized it. I am most likely going to have to have a band made to match the curve of the setting, but I would love to find and antique one if I can.

Well it has taken me absolutely forever to figure out how to take decent pictures of my ring (and the grey, snowy weather in Toronto has not been cooperating and giving me half-way decent lighting)...but I think I've finally done it! And not only done it but maybe gone a little too picture happy! My FI spent over 6 months secretly plotting with my sister to design the setting himself and I am so proud of him! Apparantely there were several revisions made, but he got it abosultely perfectly! And I love the stone - I told him I was partial to square or slightly rectangular shapes and he decided to search for a radiant cut because he liked that it was a mixed cut stone (part brillant cut like a round, part step cut like an emerald or an asscher)...so it has the less organized, more random and choatic pattern of sparkle underneath, which is like me, and the classic, clean, organized and logical lines on the crown like him - and together they come fit to make the stone more beautiful! My ring is a metaphor for our relationship! (Too sappy? I think maybe we should limit who we tell that too for fear of getting the rolled eyes...but it makes me tear when I think of how he explained it to me).

OK, this is my first attempt to upload pictures so bear with me....I hope I get it right!

Today I went and picked up my husband's new wedding ring. I will give it to him on his birthday, on Friday. He has no idea. This is the new one, with the original 26.5 year old ring.

This is the ring he had made for me for our 25th anniversary, which I wear with my original wedding ring.

Okay, here are pics of my e-ring and my wedding band, both of which I just got sized. It took me forever to find a band I liked, but I finally decided on this ring guard cause it just makes my ring sparkle even more! I was so happy to have my e-ring back I took a ton pictures of them, here are just a few. (sorry no matter how many times I resize in photobucket, they look the same size when i post)

Here's my ring. Chosen by my FI and kept hidden in the house for a month while he waited for the right time to ask me! Its platinum band. I love it.

    • STAY AWAY FROM CARIBBEAN EMOTIONS PHOTOGRAPHY!!!! Michael Weiler is a SCAMMER he took our money and disappeared!! we hired him as our photographer for our wedding back in November, he gave us a run around for the first week or 2 saying our pictures are almost ready and then disappeared. we have been sending him emails, texts and phone calls for the past 4 months and he is now where to be found. I made a fake account to email him and he answered right away as he is only interested in taking peoples money and not give anything in return.
    • For weddings you should definitely use a travel agent as there are promotions and amenities with a group block that you will not get by booking individually like comped rooms, upgrades, spa treatments, etc.
    • Congratulations and welcome to the forum! There are lots of great resort options in Punta Cana and we have stayed at or toured many of them.  Are you looking for a family friendly resort or adults only?  What you interested in with nature and the ceremony? All of the resorts will have different wedding locations and there are also a variety of off resort wedding venues in Punta Cana. Please feel free to email us at info@wrighttravelagency.com if you'd like us to send resort info and check group rates. Thanks! Patty
    • Hello Everyone!  I am currently in the initial stages of planning and I am starting to look at resorts in Dominican Republic. I am thinking of having my wedding in October 2020.  I have been looking at resorts in Punta Cana, but I also want to look at other options/areas as well. The groom and I enjoy nature and we would like to incorporate that into our wedding in some way. We may also have a guest list between 50-80 people. Since we live in the US, I wanted to find a location that is accessible from major airports and is cost efficient for our guest as well as us. Can anyone share what locations they have searched or been to other than Punta Cana? Also I am okay to receive feedback on some Punta Cana locations.
    • Thank you! I did not make these. I purchased them from a business. They are still for sale if you are interested!
