Antique Diamond Dinner Ring - Lang Antiques

I went to look at another engagement ring when I couldn't help notice this "antique dinner ring" in the case next to the engagement rings. It reminds me of something a flapper girl would wear, but the actual date range is from 1890-1910. My fiance and I just bought our first home, built in 1907 just after the great San Francisco earthquake in 1906. It has withstood every earthquake since so I thought the ring would be symbolic of our marriage......um....yeah...bullshit, I just loved it!

Mine's pretty simple. We originally wanted the trillion cut ring that I've attached a pic of but we couldn't find one in the size that he wanted so we went with my 2nd favorite cut which is princess. It's 2.12 carats on a white-gold tiffany setting. The picture of my ring doesn't show the band in the best light, but it's a decent pic of the ring.

This is my engagement ring and wedding band. My engagement ring is 2ct. My wedding band is 1ct. The rings are both white gold. The wedding band is princess cut like the engagement ring.

My hubby likes yellow gold. I wanted him to have a ring similar (metal: white gold) like my own. swo, we decided on the one noted below.

Mine is a Maritn Flyer ring with a 2ct center stone and micro pave around the diamond and the band. I had it custom made because the band comes with 6 rows of pave diamonds around it and that was WAY to thick/big for my finger. I had them cut it down to 4 rows, so that way when I add my wedding band of 4 more rows it still won't over power my little finger!

Here is my pictures.

My e-ring centre stone is 1.1k with 5 diamonds on each side, equalling another karat. We got the centre diamond on sale, then designed the ring around the diamond.

My wedding band is almost a karat, with 16 princess cut diamonds. We got it made to match the e-ring.

Francis' ring was custom made as well from another gold's smith shoppe in town. It's white gold that has been brushed in the middle.

My FI and I had talked about what I wanted (round stone with diamonds on the band). In the end he ended up designing this with his family jeweler in Boca. It turned out even more beautiful then I could have ever imagined!

Sorry the pics are so big... this is my first time uploading photos into the text.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
