It's been a while since I posted my ring.  I "instagramed" a pic of my ring 2 months ago while on vacation.  I thought I would share it again...I am so in love with it & my FI!  109 days until our BIG DAY!  We are going to look at wedding bands next week....CANNOT WAIT! xoxo

I love princess cut. Initially when I tried on rings with my mom on a regular day at the mall (we are girls, who hasn't done this...I hope I'm not the only one haha) I fell in love with a similar set. When my mother took my fiance, they no longer had the princess set- someone bought it. He bought the same set I fell in love with but with a round cut. I didn't think I wanted a three stone ring nor did I like the round cut, but I ended up loving it.

I love your set because it was the original one I fell in love with. It looks nice on your fingers. I love the combination.

I had sent him a pic of this ring as a joke a few years ago. he kept it and had it made with a heart under the center stone. I and a left half heart and right half heart under the side stones. As a personal touch. He also had the sides hand engraved with vines.... He's Italian lol. The pics really don't do it justice!

That is adorable! I love it! I can't say my ring has a personal touch lol. I thought my fiance would design his own because we have a friend who's father works in the diamond district and he works in advertising. He has a great eye but he didn't attempt to design a ring lol. He had my mom take me one random day and l ate it up hook line and sinker. I just tried on different rings, she took pics of them, and she sent them to him. They ended up going together anyway.

I love the idea of the heart details. You must look at it and smile every day! So sweet.

Don't be sad about the no personal touch. He didn't involve any of family. my mom had no idea.

Thanks to everyone for sharing their gorgeous rings!  And congratulations to all on your engagements!

I still find it hard to believe, but my amazing fiance designed, cast, and set my engagement ring :-)  Though he had never done anything like this before, he did such an amazing job.  Even better is that he made me a video of the entire process to show me after the engagement:

Our destination wedding is in April.  Now I'm getting ready to make HIS wedding band.  He'll be helping me but I'm not as crafty as he is so I'm a bit nervous :-)  I love that he thought to do this and learned an entire hobby for me... I never imagined I'd have something with this much sentimental value.

Thanks for letting me share and Happy Holidays :-)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
