show us your rings!

I was working at the Jewellery store for a few years. So I can say why it happened to your ring. Because your diamonds set in the band they have to keep this tension to have them in it. So that is why it can be slightly oval, Jeweller can't start pulling your ring to put it together to make it perfect circle again. If he would do it your diamonds would pop out. I am sure you dont want that.

I got my band this week.  I love it, it matches perfectly, and it looks very pretty on its own too.  However, they had to size it down 2 sizes, and I don't know anything about these things.  After sizing, it looks a little crooked and uneven.  It's nothing anyone would ever notice, but it sort of bugs me.  Is anyone else's ring a little wonky?

Thank you @ JayKay,

OMG...after I linked the photos I noticed that one of my pave stones was gone.  I just got my ring back yesterday from being resized and the jewlers said that sometimes the prongs can loosen and I'm guessing they did not check the entire ring to ensure they were tight.  So I will have to go another day without my ring evil.gif .  I just got in engaged Saturday and my own mom has not even seen the ring on my finger yet.  The great thing is that I have an outstanding jeweler who will replace any lost diamond on my ring for the life.  I found out first hand that pave settings are high maintenance.  And you have to check your ring often.

I tried on wedding bands and since I have the pear mount, regular bands do not look cohesive with the E-ring.  I'm guessing that I should start inquiring about a custom band to my E-ring.  Anyone have any other suggestions???

It sucks having to get the ring fixed and be without it. I just went 4 weeks without it, which really sucked but now Its back and better then ever!

I imagine with a pear shaped diamond you might have to get a custom ring.  I personally know a few people who have gotten custom bands and they were so much happier because it fit better with their ering.

There is wedding bands you can buy that are made for this ring, or better... you should ask the jeweller that made this ring if he has matching wedding band. Most of the time they do. So you would be able to order it from him.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
