I finally figured out how to post my own pics! I kept trying to attach a file like I was sending an email! My best friend got married in February, and after seeing many brides photos on here I thought a picture of the ring with the bouquet was pretty, so we did that while we were getting ready for her wedding! Here's my ring!!

That's one of the prettiest and most unique sets I've seen.  Great job on the custom band, looks amazing together.  I specifically asked for an e-ring setting that would work with a straight band, just because I wanted to avoid the curve.  But yours looks great!

Very pretty!  Of course, I may be biased because it looks very similar to mine - in setting and size ;)

Starrysim,

That's very similar! They both look great!! Mine is 0.9 carats, I think more than 1 carat is too big for me, I'm not all about flashy bling, and being a nurse, all I do is wash my hands all day long!

What kind of band are you getting ?? I want a plain platinum band to match.

Mine is a 0.7 ct.  I have very small fingers (size 4.5 ring finger), so a small stone still looks great on me :) FI went for quality over size, and it really does sparkle so much nicer than many other rings I've seen that are larger.  I work in a lab, so I'm constantly putting on and taking off gloves, washing hands, and working with my hands all day.  Anyway....  I really want a band that has diamonds on it (because I may not wear the e-ring to work later on).  I originally wanted diamonds on the e-ring band as well, but I ended up with the solitaire (FI chickened out on getting it custom made, worrying that I wouldn't like it in the end, and instead just gave me the option to change it afterwards, but I chose to keep it solitaire).  So I will try to get a matching band that has channel or bead-set diamonds across the front.  I can't wait to go shopping for bands, but FI thinks it too early!

Starrysim - If you are hard on your hands, like it sounds, don't do the bead set stones. It doesn't hold diamonds very well. I have a bracelet that had to be replaced because one of the stones fell out and my e-ring had to have a stone replaced too. Go for the channel set, it is more durable.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
