Welcome to site Mishi. I'm getting married in Cabo in June and it looks like only my immediate family and one aunt and 2 friends on my side. The rest of the 50 guests are friends and family of my FI. sad.gif oh well, we'll have a blast anyway.

I'm sure your wedding is going beautiful. I can't wait to hear more about it.

You guys rock!!! Thank you for such a warm welcome smile03.gif

I am doing a simple wedding on the beach and honestly didn't want to get involved in all of the details. Being just our family, I really didn't care what the flowers or the cake looked like. But my wedding planner insisted I give her ideas, and now getting closer I am glad she did. I love the idea of a simple white wedding with little bursts of flowers in bright colors. So, I chose my favorite combo of retro blue and green. Since it is a tropical wedding there is no problem finding flowers and rocks/glass etc in these colors.

My dress is really simple and I love it. I have lost 70 pounds over the last 9 months and am wanting to lose about 20 more before we go. So, when I ordered my dress, I had no idea what to order, but when I got it in last week, it fit! It is a litte tight but will look fabulous with another 10-20 pounds gone. So, that is very rewarding and I can't wait to show it off. I will try to insert a pic here.

I tried to stay pretty thrifty in what I bought and didn't do anything extra... except we are having a 5 minute firework show over the ocean at the end of our first dance as Husband and Wife, so that will be incredible.

We also wanted to make it very personal so we are using "our songs" for the ceremony instead of traditional wedding music, so I will be walking down the aisle to our song "We Belong Together" by Gavin Degraw. I also have been keeping the dried rose petals from every bouquet my fiance has ever given and wanted to incorporate them somehow. So, I was thinking about making sachets out of them for all of the guests and sometime during the ceremony going to the cliff and having everyone toss them in the ocean simultaneously. I don't know... if you have any other ideas or thoughts about this let me know. It sounds romantic, and I think would be beautiful in a pic but how it would be in person I am not sure.

I could go on forever and ever but I honestly cant wait to read you guys' ideas and details, so if you think of anything tips that you have heard or any must do's/don't please PM me or post.

Thanks again girlies!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
