I just got burnt from them 23 days before the wedding and finally I will be getting my refund from this company after I had to file a claim with PayPal.

I ordered a Ring Shell for the wedding from them back in Sept. Well after 4 different emails to both email adresses for them I still had nothing from them besides the payment slip from PayPal. I requested on all emails to please send me an expected ship date along with a confirmation besides PayPal and never got it. This morning I filed the claim with PayPal due to the lack of response and what do you know I get home and have an email from the guy who runs Weddingwhimsy.com.... he has canceled my order and a refund will be issued!

23 days before my wedding HULLLOOOOO!!! I was buying far enough in advance because he had the item in stock... I just don't get it. OH and they admit on the website they do not have a phone number... I guess that should have been my hint this was not going to work out.

I know they have really cute stuff ladies... but if you order please be aware of the lack of correspondance and not knowing when your order will arrive if ever.

You have really had some back luck with your orders, I just read the post about the flowers. I have two extra white seashells if you want them. I bought a package of four and only need two. I am just gluing ribbon to them and tying fake rings to them for our two ring bearers. Here is a picture of the shells in the package.

Damn, Amanda, you are really having a hard time with your vendors.

I see that Michelle offered up her extra seahshells, but I know that I bought mine in Michael's. Have you checked there or at an A C Moore? I also bought some online and the ones from Michael's were nicer. Tiger clam shells, I think they were called.

SOrry, thought included the pic but apparently i am a moron. anyway, here is the description. hope it helps, oh, and just get on etsy and type in "to have and to hold" and it comes up. good luck

"Description

An original design from Paloma's Nest that is creating a new tradition in weddings all around the globe.

Our spin on the classic ring bearer pillow...a ring bowl.

See it in the fall/winter 2008 issue of BRIDES regional magazine!!

This little white ceramic bowl is hand crafted and stamped with the words TO HAVE & TO HOLD .

What makes it different from our traditional tiny text bowls (please visit our shop for these options and more!), is the two little holes near the top rim, through which I have laced a silky cotton cord to hold your rings for your wedding ceremony. This cord can be easily switched out by you for a ribbon that matches your wedding style, if you wish.

After the ceremony, the cord can be tied into a loop or a bow, and the bowl can hold jewelry, momentos or other treasures.

But that's not all...my favorite part of this piece is that the tiny bowl can also be hung by the cord, on a wall in a special spot(next to your wedding photo would be nice), in a shadow box frame, or on your holiday tree.

Each piece is handmade of fine white clay, and fired in our kiln; the bowls have a protective matte finish applied to the surface and are designed for decorative use only.

Bowls measure approximately 3 to 3.5 inches in diameter...they fit nicely in the palm of your hand.

Note that each bowl is indvidually made to order, and therefore variations will occur in the layout and shape...your bowl may not look exactly like the one in the photo.(Rings are not included.)

Please allow one week for your ring bowl to be made for you; it will be shipped promptly when ready.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: I ship anywhere in the world.

Please read my "shop policies" (link is at the right side of this page) before ordering. The section on "shipping" contains important information about how and when your order will arrive.

***PLEASE NOTE... This listing is NOT for a "CUSTOM ring bowl" with the text of your choice. Please see the listing in my shop with that name to order a bowl with an alternate text, even if you are adding only a date.**

thank you!

xoxo

::P.S... you will receive an email via Etsy confirming your purchase, which includes a note from me about your transaction and shipping time. I do not send out additional communication unless necessary to complete your order. This doesn't mean I don't love you...I do!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
