Make-up and Hair

Recommended Posts

I am also using Norma Zurama with MAC and am super excited! I have read great things about her and because I was on a budget the other ones were just not in the books for me.

I'd love to see make-up pics of other brides too for some ideas if you could post them in this thread.

Good luck everyone!

Just wanted to let you know that I used Norma Zurama from the MAC in Ultrafemme in Cancun, (she was referred to me by my Hilton Wedding Coordinator), and she was AWESOME. I would definitely suggest using her. She gets an A plus in my book. She is nice, speaks English, uses only MAC products, and did an exceptional job. She's really good at responding quickly to emails too. Oh and she did a demo/trial for me for FREE! She charged me $70 for wedding day make-up. She has someone she uses for hair that previously worked at the Manforte salon, but I found out about that too late. Anyway, below is her contact info...good luck ladies!

(For hair, I used Mary from the Hilton Spa). She was very nice, spoke very little English though, and although she didn't mess up my hair completely, I would probably not go to her again. I'm guessing I could find someone who would have done a job I liked better. My hair was pretty basic, half up with curls...and the curls were definitely flat by reception, but I think that was the winds fault, not Mary's.

Hello!

I hired Norma from MAC Cancun for my destination wedding on 4.19.13 at the Barcelo Maya Palace. SHE WAS AMAZING! We hired her for makeup for myself (bride), 3 bridesmaids, and my mom... we all loved it! She was quick, professional, and very nice. The make-up lasted throughout the ceremony (sun) + reception. I purchased lipstick from a MAC in the States so that I would have the same color to retouch throughout the evening. Prior to the wedding she was very fast with email communication and met all of our requests. We only had to pay the day pass for our resort to allow her on the property. We highly recommend hiring Norma!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
