I was searching this site and found these vendors that people said were good: suzannemorel.com

and my photographer claudia rodriguez recommended this:

alexandromakeup.com

I don't think they are in riviera maya but will travel there...

Both will travel to your hotel room, which is sweet!

Sorry, about that my screw-up!!! Your right Suzanne doesn't travel to Riviera Maya cuz she is in Cabo - my bad...

OOOhhh, and there is an Ultrafemme (utltrafemme.com) which is like a high end Sophera or Macy's makeup store. I emailed them and they have some makeup gura named Guillermo Flores who used to be some big timer for Christian Dior. I contacted ultrafemme through their website contact page and a Diana Gerling got back to me (her email: dsandoval@ultrafemme.com). For this Flores guy to come to my hotel in RM for a trial and the day of just for me it was $500 (I would get a gift package too containing either clinique, estee lauder, lancome, etc)... I asked Diana if I reffered anyone and had someone else use them if us brides can work out a deal?!?!? (ummm, she was hesitant) so if any of ya use them let's see if we can get a refferel program or discount going!!! $500 was a little too much just for myself (that's not even counting my brides maids)... So I got to thinking... (Scary I know) I went to Mac (Maccosmetics.com) and they say they are located in Ultrafemme in Playa Del Carmen... I am in the process of contacting ultrafemme directly in playa del carmen (+52 984 803 4661 I just need to get a phone card -my long distance rates suck) and talking to a makeup artist just from Mac to see if one of them are interested in doing my makeup (kinda like cutting out the middle man - plus that's how I found my makeup artist that does my makeup out where I live)... So I will let ya know...

But I have been in contact with Alexandro (alexandromakeup.com) and I know he does for sure go to RM (well - the iberostar del mar)!!! Like I said before I asked my photographer Claudia Rodriguez and she recommended him - I trust her... And he responded to my email the same day! Unfortunetly, he can't do my hair/makeup that day (May 16) because he is already booked but he will find me a makeup/hairstylist that will fit my style perfectly (or so he said) than send me their portfolio... Let me know if any of ya end up using him or what his prices are (I am waiting for him to find me a stylist before I ask for all that info.) Ohhh, and if ya'll find any other makeup/hairstylist please let me know...

Thanks!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
