One of my best friends is due to have her first baby in January. She is the first of my friends to get married and now have a baby, so this is exciting and new for all of us :)

They have decided to name their baby boy Brody, after the character in Jaws (his Daddy is all about some sharks). So his nursery is going to be an under the sea theme. I decided I wanted to make her a quilt for him and found some awesome fabric in Allison's Etsy store (Click the image to open in full size.

It is kind of hard to see in the picture, but there are fish, starfish, octopus, mermaids and sea horses. It will be about 38" squared.

That's so cute! My mom quilts, and I've always wanted to get into it. You did an awesome job!

Thank you. This is only the 2nd one I have made, but I can't wait to get it finished and give it to her :)

I think it's super cute. I would love to get a homemade quilt as a baby gift! It is so sweet and so much more personal. She and her baby boy will love it!

Such a lovely gift and so personal. I want to do this with some of my old travel tshirts that I no longer wear but don't want to get rid of.
