Our budget is around $10,000. The wedding itself includes everything (decoration, officiant, dinner/drinks, flowers, massage/mani/pedi for both etc) is $3900. Our flight will be around $1000. Our stay at the hotel for the week and then the hotel in Cozumel for honeymoon week is $900 for the 2 weeks AI. Photography is $2000. Dress, suit and OOT bags will round it out.

Can't wait!

Wow ya thats quite a bit more. I know Excellence though is a nicer hotel. Are you getting a lot of extras or is the wedding package your chose just higher end.

I think we're going to be close to $20,000 when its all said and done, but thats also for 2 weeks stay at the hotel.

yeah, we are going to end up close to the 20 mark too i think, but that is two weeks, and including our ahr and legal and everything. I might be able to bring it down... that's the goal anyway! We are including some pretty big items into our total, including FI's stag weekend in Vegas, and my stagette weekend at a spa... and our travel there and we will be there for two weeks (hopefully). So, we'll see if I can keep the costs down!

Unfortunetly, I do not know of any photographers that specialize in weddings.. But asking my family and friends if they know anyone is a great idea, I can't believe I didn't think of that. And I agree, I want to see as much wedding pics from that photog as I can see. I created a folder on my computer and anytime I find wedding pics I like, I save them. I figured this would be easy to hand over to the photog so he/she can get an idea of what we want out of our pictures. I noticed some resorts charge a crazy fee if you hire a local photog so I guess everything will really depend on what location/resort we choose.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
