Grooms cake

Recommended Posts

Ok ladies, as many of you know I have gone back and forth too many times to count about our wedding cake. What do you girls think about just doing a funs grooms cake, maybe since cain and I have Boston Terriers, maybe a cake that has a BT on it or maybe a surfing one or something. I trust you guys will be honest with me. Do you think I should do just a grooms cake or stick with a wedding cake?

Tammy personally I would say do a grooms cake only b/c you don't have a lot of guests so you really don't need to waste all that money on a full wedding cake. However, I kind of get the impression that you want a real wedding cake and I think you are going to be sad if you don't get one. So I think you should either get a regular wedding cake or stick to the individual cakes even if ends up costing you. The individual cakes are such a beautiful, classy idea, I think you should just stick with it. Just yell at the baker and make her honor your original contract!!

I don't know if I'm going to regret not putting more thought into it (since all you girls are), but I got my momogram cake top and I'm just going to tell my WC to give me the cake that comes with my wedding package....slap my monogram on top with some flowers.

Honestly, do you think people are going to eat it (mine will be drunk and will not eat the cake), or are you more concerned about what the pics are going to look like?

Yeah you girls are probably right. Since Cain insists on having a cake I would want it to be a "wedding cake" Hmm I wonder if I can get a custom Boston Terrier and Cat cake topper made. that might be cute.. check this ebay auction out.. kind of like this.

Ummm Lisa, after all the freakin problems I've had trying to figure out what kind of cake to get.,, Oh they will eat it, rather they like it or not. AND they will fake if if they must, and tell me how much they enjoyed it.. :-)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
