My only issue with the software I am using is there are only a certain number of colors available. I want more of a sand color, but it's not an option ... and none of the other background colors seem to give the effect I was hoping for, so that color is the closest.

Here is the page, updated since that initial post. You think it will be better with a crisp edge? I like the gradient, but I'm not a professional, by any stretch - so I defer back to you! :-)

ijust think the crisper bevel will give it more of a photo mat look. try it but if you still like the soft bevel then go with it. its not my album its yours

Wow, Tami, you did a great job! You have so many cool setups photos (landscapes and stuff) that you are using for the background, I really like it.

wholly freakin cow- your book is amazing! I totally feel like a slacker now. I made shutterfly books for our moms but i haven't printed a single pro pic for us yet! I'm gonna check out that site though b/c i have a Mac too.

I didn't include AHR photos in this one. It just didn't seem to fit, but I might add them in before sending it to print. That might actually be a good idea since there were so many more people at the AHR who didn't make the DW.

I was going to add the AHR photos to our album, but maybe I should include them in the parents albums as well. Especially since otherwise there aren't many pics of my Mom - and I do have more of her in our AHR pics. Good suggestions!

And BTW, I"d be happy to do yours. It was fun!

I really like it for the Mac. Totally bummed right now though b/c my Mac is only 3 months old and the screen crashed on me yesterday. I hope it's covered under the warranty. I have such bad luck with computers! (I have a mini PC for work that I'm using for BDW and FaceBook addictions in the meantime!).

FINALLY ordered one copy of our album for DH's parents as part of their Christmas gift. My Mac has a cracked screen so it took forever to figure out how to upload the book to the online order site. But, it's done. Hopefully it will arrive before we leave for their house on Christmas Eve. It was $152 for the 84-page book and expedited shipping from the UK. We only ordered one copy to ensure we like the quality (we aren't going to visit my folks until mid-January for a late Christmas, so as long as we love it, we'll order theirs). Anyway - just wanted to update with the cost - it seemed kind of high ... but again, we'll wait to see the quality of the book. I hope the shipping is FAST!!!

Okay, so ordered on Dec. 7 & and it should arrive by this Friday, December 19. Shipping from the UK, that's pretty fast. I'll post some pics of the finished product once it arrives!
