We are still looking for that perfect location.

I was recommended this site by several people and I come here looking for help. We need to find that perfect spot for us. We have narrowed it down to:

1. Cabo

2. Riveria Maya

3. Punta Cana

4. Bahamas

we want to get married on a beach at an AI. We have around 30 guest traveling with us from age 4-70. We need help

deja vu! you sound exactly like how i was a few weeks ago. i was also looking for the same criteria as you.

my recommendations are #1 or 2. reasons for #1 - plenty of all inclusives in the area and a lot of them accept kids. the beach is amazing (although not always swimmable). el arco is the perfect backdrop for photos.

#2 - great all inclusives and chain resorts for families. close to nightlife (cancun) for guests staying longer. great excursions (isla mujeres, tulum, etc)

reasons for NOT #3 - we just came from there and hardly anyone speaks much english. the country isnt too pleasing outside the resort and there's no shopping/nightlife/culture activities. the main thing going for punta cana is their PERFECT beach w/ palm tree lined shores and their expansive selection of all inclusive resorts

No on #4 - hardly any all inclusives. if AI resorts are what you're looking for, you wont find them in bahamas.

hope this helps! i considered all places you listed with teh same criteria you were looking for =) i ended up going with Moon Palace Cancun.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
