FOR YOUR READING PLEASURE on my life for the past month!..lol!

I have got to be the worst BDW member ever lately! I haven't been able to participate much in the forum because the last month and a bit have been insanely busy it seems.

I finally moved from Vancouver to Toronto!! yey no more long distance with Michael (FI)! the move happened on Sept 29th.

The weekend before that was my friends' wedding in Toronto, so I flew back for 36hrs, with the two kitties....which btw did A-ok on the flight. I totally freaked and before boarding the plane I made one of the ppl working there physically walk down to the plane to make sure that the kitties were on board and that their cages were facing eachother. I refused to get on until he did this...I'm sure he thought I was nuts and was probably ready to kill me! foshizzle.bmp

That weekend was exhausting, oh yea and I turned into a nutjob and cried at my friend's wedding. I couldn't help it! I don't know if it was the wedding, or the fact that I was coming of the gazzilion of anti-anxiety pills I'd swallowed (to maintain my sanity) during that last week...but either way I cried from like 2pm to 10pm lol!

I had this really amazing plan for the last week of packing and living in Vancouver. I was going to get a bunch of wine and have a packing/wine party with one of my friends....well that didn't happen. I got uber sick, and had a raging fever by the time that I landed in Vancouver. I had to call in sick on my second last day of work :S yea...they didn't believe me that I was sick. So I spent the week packing while coughing, sneezing, and doped up on buckleys and neo citran. the one positive is that with all the meds I didn't really need the anti-anxiety meds cheesy.gif

I packed monday through friday, finished work wednesday, thursday through saturday I had my last installement of my business analysis certificate, Michael came in Friday night, the movers came on Saturday morning along with the land lady and utilities ppl to disconnect everything, I had my exam while the actual move part was happening...but I passed so whatevs. Then Sunday morning we flew back to Toronto together.

So...what have I been doing since I got back?! well....Michael and I finished our invites, got them back from the printer and put them together over a period of 3 days..in which Edyta helped! yey! thanks dude! I just have to say that I DETEST BOWS now. After tying a billion little stupid satin bows I wanted to kill myself. But they're done and some of the guests have even received them! wink.gif

I got a bit of good news before I left vancouver, two people from my company's office in Toronto were let go (shitty for them) BUUUUT they needed help and were willing to bring me onboard on contract, making the same rate as in Van, while I look for another job. So there's some security there. Now I'm job searching, and with the markets being as they are, its proving to be more stressfull than I thought.

Michael and I and our two kitties are staying with my uncle until we move into our own place. Which by the way, we got an apt downtown!! yey! THANKS HEATHER! cheesy.gif

We're both feeling the pressure to get jobs, and move and be settled. Spending two days job searching, going to interviews, studying and then the other 3 working full time is not fun sad.gif

So that's my recent life story in a giant novel for your reading pleasure cheesy.gif I'm totally going to be on here more often now! I missed you guys!

Woot woot! Can't wait for the cookie baking and wine consumption to commence as soon as you're outta the burbs and into my (soon-to-be-ex) condo! You're going to LOVE being downtown! Your wallet, however, will not love being so close to the Eaton Centre. It's both a blessing AND a curse wink.gif

I know you've met Heather, but we should all go out sometime for a drink! I am hopefully getting married at Dreams Cabo as well so we will have lots to chat about!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
