Shipping for artificial flowers?

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if those of you who shipped your flowers down to Mexico (and didn't take them with you on the plane) if you could give me an idea of how much it cost you to ship them?

do NOT ship artificial flowers to mexico. its a serious risk. 1) because they will likely be mistaken for real, and confiscated, or if there is anything that says china, they will also be confiscated because they have laws about importing things from china.

2) many people dont know this but the mexican mail system is 100% volunteer basis... mail is NEVER guaranteed to get anywhere. when you ship with FedEx or a like carrier, once it gets to a certain point, that company will hand your package over to a local ground transport company. it is not guaranteed to get there.

Here is my dilemma.... I have a fairly good price on real flowers down there, but I'm already bringing so much stuff and I don't want to have to pay several baggage fees to bring everything. I was wondering what the price to ups/fedex them down there to justify whether I should just spend the $200 extra for real or just go with the artificial

it will cost you more to ship it than it will to pay a possible baggage fee for an extra piece of checked luggage.

Well.... I just looked at fees for an extra bag to Mexico. We have to take Delta out of our airport, and its actually a delta connection. Delta connection only allows a max of 4 checked bags per person. Normally this wouldn't really be an issue, between the 2 of us that would allow us 4 extra bags, but its $200 per extra bag now!!!! That would be $800 for 4 extra bags!!! We just went to australia and new zealand, we had one checked bag of clothes for both of us, another checked bag full of shoes diapers and extra baby stuff (for a new infant), a carry on with all of baby clothes, a carry-on of extras (games, extra clothes for us in case, hygiene stuff, etc), then we gate check the stroller and carseat, this would allow us 2 extra bags to check without being charged, and i already have a box of stuff to take.... I think at this point it may just be worth the money to pay for real flowers down there. Its $200 an extra bag, geez and its alot of hassle with how much we already bring with our infant who sits in our laps so she isn't allotted any extra bags.

    • What color is your wedding? You can go with warm autumn-inspired colors such as burnt oranges, dark reds, burgundy, bright yellows, like fall foliage   https://printsbery.com/invitations/wedding/burgundy   What planning have you guys done?
    • We booked our wedding for April 2021 but the venue let us know at this time they are still implementing Covid measures so we should not have more than 50 guests, etc. We also made sure the contract had an "out" clause that would let us get a refund should the pandemic blow up again, or have the ability to reschedule without penalty.
    • I am having my wedding scheduled in November 2020. I am too much worried about how all the things will be managed in this pandemic situation. About everything like the guest list, preparations, my attire and all. The only thing I am relaxed is about finances. In Feb only me and my fiancé applied for the wedding loans. We have applied early because both of us are having bad credit we had a doubt that it will be approved or not. But our wedding loans with bad credit were timely approved and we have planned accordingly but now this pandemic has spoiled all our preparations. We are trying to be positive and trying to celebrate our new beginnings.
