Sheraton vent

So back in November the Sheraton opened a new spa. Well I just emailed Irma with the Sheraton and asked her a couple of questions, she informed me that due to the new Spa opening they changed their rules and no longer allow outsided Hair and makeup people, that it must be done at their salon. rant.gif I had already booked it through Maye to have someone come to my room. UGH..

That's true. That sucks - you're not going to know if they have a gate guard until you get there. I would hate to have someone sneaking around for you. Have you explained to them that you were not aware of the "new" policy and that you hired an outside source months and months ago?

I agree - that you can explain that wile you certainly understand their new policy that since when you agreed to have your wedding there this was not the case. You have already hired your hair and make-up person and they should ensure that this person will be allowed on the premisis.

The other thing is that since you are actually paying a location fee (right?) to have your wedding there it's extra ridiculous because in all honesty you don't even need to be staying there, right? I am sure if you talk/email them about this they will understand.

Well in all honesty I was debating on having the Sherton do my hair and makeup. They won't be able to know if they can get me an early check in until the day before our wedding. That would mean check in would be 3 and I'm meeting Juan and Cain at 5 for pic's. That's only two hours. So it might be easier if the Sheraton does the Hair and Makeup. Or I can talk to Maye and see if she can talk to the Sheraton for me. This is all getting to be a huge PITA.

When I was in Cancun for my site visit last month they guy who's doing my hair came to my room and they immediately asked if he was staying at the hotel, we said no and they make him sign something when he came in and the when he went out.. I think it's not fair they force u to use their spa.. it's not like the resort is all inclusive.. you can let the guy in as a visit...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
