what to do about bridesmaid dresses...

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for aqua bridesmaid dresses. I will have 3, I plan on buying their dresses for them. I am debating between holding out until the spring collections come out and finding something at a department store (Macy's, Nordstrom, Dillards). The dresses they have out now are darker shades of blue. I haven't found anything at jcrew.com or ann taylor celebrations that I like.

Or I go with a bridesmaid dress. Alfred Angelo and David's don't have the exact color that I am going for. Mori Lee has some dresses in turquoise that I like.

Then I came across Charsa.com. Beautiful dresses, but expensive!

I think I am going to try and go to the bridal shop near me that carries the line to see the colors in person and some sample dresses.

What do you think?

I like the Mori lee ones actually better than the other ones that are more expensive. I can't decide between the two either. I like them both! (even though the shoe on the strapless is a disaster- but I know that doesn't matter) I guess you'll know when you see them in person. They are both super cute!

I will agree now is not the time to find the color you want. I bought my girls dresses in Feb from Davids in Pool... I had a lastminute add on to my party a few weeks ago with only 30 days left today ... and I couldn't get her the dress anywhere even if it was shipped from another store. So my new girl is ending up in Watermelon. Driving 2 hrs today to go and pick up her dress at the store.

BTW I LUV both Mori Lees!!

Hi! Just wanted you to know that Jim Hjelm has the most beautiful shades of blue I have ever seen! I went with the "teal" but it looks more like an ocean blue to me. There were like 20 different styles to chose from as well, which I am doing all different styles but same chiffon fabric. I also waited until the bridal shop had a % sale, which they do every other month or so.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
