some thing is missing from my invites! help!

Recommended Posts

Not only do they not look finished, but are they going to mail alright with the starfish glued on? (is the starfish gonna be crushed when they open them? Should I get busy and make some else to go around them or something?)

Do any of you have any experience with these? And can you think of anything that I can add to jazz it up a bit?! Or do you like them simple like that and then surprise everyone with all of the color once they get there?

Help!

I think they are simple & elegant! They look great! I personally love the RSVP - too cute wink.gif

Have you tried squeezing a starfish? if that doesn't break, I wouldn't get to worried about it.

If you are worried about it, I guess you could always just place a bunched up tissue around it after you stick it in the envelope?!? I don't know - I'm sorry I have no experince with this either!!

But anyways - I think they look great!

I was also going to say tie a piece of Raffia around the invites.. maybe sheild the starfish by putting some colorful tissue paper around the invite and then tie the raffia paper around it... if you want to add more you can always print out your monogram (small size) and punch a whole through it and attach it to the raffia so it hangs from the tie.. if that makes sense.

Leigh-

I think your invites look great! What are your wedding colors? I like the idea of the rafia tied around the invite. I think a blue color would look beautiful and go with the whole beach/water motif. The wording on your reply cards is great! I've been struggling on how to word them. I would like my guests to include their travel dates as well.

I vote, leave them as it is. IMO they are perfect, people put way too much thought into invites, and if you think back how many people do you think actually keeps theirs or teh guests remembers them? Don't get me wrong I love a pretty invite, and their are so many awesome ideas on here, but I think sometimes less is more.

Yeah a long time ago, when I sent out my STD's we just decided to do the invites at the same time because we knew most people couldn't attend. I made them, but they were super simple and I only mailed out like 40 of them. We plan on doing an annoucement after our wedding.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
