Riu Santa Fe Disco

Recommended Posts

Hey fellow Brides!

We are thinking about renting out the disco for a few hours for our wedding in April.

Was wondering (hoping) someone may have some pictures of it....Not quite sure what to expect. Is there a mic? Can you use an ipod? If its somewhere where you can hold a few speeches, a few dances, with it still looking "weddingy"....Is anyone else doing this?? I have yet to contact Erika about this as I am just thinking but would love some feedback....Is it still $500 for a few hours i wonder? Im sure it could change....

Thanks to anyone that can help a lady out!

:)

Hi Mineaux,

I just got back from the Santa Fe about a month ago. PERSONALLY, I wasn't impressed on the Pacha disco at the Santa Fe. I don't think I took any pictures of it but I will double check. We peeked in to take a quick look. The outside is painted hot pink and aqua blue..sort of reminded me of romper room. Inside the place was dark and had cherries painted all over the walls. The bar took up most of the space and it was quite small. Perhaps this may work for your wedding party though.

However the Disco at the Palace Riu was way better IN MY OPINION.

Good Luck!

I am having my wedding at the Riu Santa Fe in Jan. We are planning on renting the disco out from 8-11 for a small receptions. The Disco opens at 11 to the public. Basically we plan on burning all of the songs we want on a cd for the DJ. Erika said the cost is $500 and that includes bartenders and a DJ. I also asked her if we could bring our own DJ and she said not at this time, but we'll see when we get there, as we have one traveling with us. I guess I'm not too picky as far as what it looks like, we may decorate on some of the tables. I just wanted some sort of private party for our guests.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
