Joe had surprise party for me Sat

On the weekend of my actual b-day(9-29), it was Joe's moms 60th surprise party. So we didn't do too much for mine, but I didn't care honestly. We planned on doing dinner & drinks this past Sat, which we did. Little did I know though, that Joe had a whole night planned for me too. We got dressed up, went to a nice fancy restaurant by his house, it was great. We're done and go outside to the car and there's a bus/limo outside and the driver and Joe seem to know each other. The driver says "Oh hey Joe how are ya?" Joe says " Heyy whats up Ed, what are you doin up here..." And the driver said he was waiting for a party inside the restaurant. And Joe is like "Jack thats nice huh, we should get one of these for the wedding.." It was a huge limo bus type thing. I say yeah and the driver says "I can show u real quick the inside if you want...." And I say ok. So he opens the doors and a bunch of my friends and family are standing inside and yell "SURPRISEEEE!!!" I was SO thrown off, it was great. They had flowers, cup cakes and sang happy bday, drinks, snacks, everything. We went downtown to two clubs, and just had a an awesome time. I obviously didn't have my camera but everyone else did, so once I do get some, I will post them here. I found out later that he had been planning this for months now. Sat while I was home, 4 blocks from my FSIL's, my friends and fam went there before hand and partied and I seriously had no idea. There was probably about 15 people. It was great. Yesterday though was a wasted day, we slept ALL day. Some people crashed at my house and didn't leave until later in the day. I'm still feeling hung over now. HA I guess this is what happens when you're 30! haha

Ohhh, I have nothing going on this weekend either and Matt is going hunting, so I get the house allllll to myself for days! It's going to be awesome.

I told Nicole to come up and hang out with me, we'll see if she does. You are more then welcome to come up and veg with us though! Sweats would be the only acceptable clothing, cuz that is what I will wear for days. I can't wait.

He gets upset cuz he thinks that I won't miss him. I WILL miss him, but I LOVE my alone time!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
