Men's Wedding Bands - Help!

Recommended Posts

Ok, so I'll admit I am completely clueless when it comes to men's wedding bands. So my questions are: what did your FH pick out for a wedding band? What was it made of? My FH is considering a stainless steel band, which is cost effective at $99 but I was wondering if stainless steel bands are like titanium bands as in, you can't resize them. Do any of you happen to know if that's the case? Ideally, I would like for him to have a white gold band.

Thanks in advance! :)

It's completely up to his taste!! My FH works with his hands all day; so he wants something simple, unique and durable.

We are looking at titanium bands...

I am leaving it up to FH to lead me to what he likes; I want him to WANT to wear it. =)

And.. I am not sure about the resizing on those. Just make sure that you get FH measured by a good jeweler before you buy the ring if you don't want to worry about resizing. I am sorry I can't help more!

Good luck and let us know what you decide!

We bought a tungsten carbide. It can't be resized, but it also doesn't scratch, which is so nice! It looks brand new all of the time. It is a bit heavier than the others, but my FI loves it! We went into a jewelers and tried it on and got the right size. It was $400 there, but I ordered the exact one online from Eternity Rings, Engagement Rings, Wedding Rings, Tungsten Rings, Diamonds and had it engraved (which is done w/ acid) and it was only $99. Here's his:

has your man been on the computer to check out rings?? that was the best most easiest thing for me.. michael started looking, and got really into it.. he found the ring he wants on his finger for the rest of his life (of course it ended up being the most expensive one), but im happy to know he loves it!..instead of guessing.

FI has not picked out his ring yet. We will probably do that around the end of the year. Good luck!

Men are very strange with rings...many are afraid of them so they keep them simple (this was my guy in the past). We are having the jeweler of my ER do both our bands. I have spent months showing him rings he didn't like. I came across one that matched what we are making me but in a very masculine style and we have asked him to make it more square than round and change the diamonds to baquettes with a matte white gold versus a shiny (more masculine per my guy). Never thought I would see him in Diamonds, but he wanted this to be "special"

There are so many options out there...just show him things you see that match your/his taste and let him choose.

Good Luck

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
