My heart goes out to you. I think you might benefit from getting a WC that is not tied to a resort. That way they will know of all of the different wedding venue options that will best suit your needs and that are available. I think it will be worth it for you. You are too close not to enjoy this.

As far as your FI goes I think guys get worked up about weddings just as much as we do, but they dont know how to always comunicate it. The thing that you always have to remember is that in the end > all he cares about is getting that ring on your finger and being married to you. That is what its all about after all, isn't it? Let your WC handle all of the "other" stuff. Good luck!

I'm dealing with the same thing! And we're at Dreams Tulum too in Dec. (7th), which has just made things worse! With the economy & people backing out, the resort closing....we fight all the time & take the frustration on eachother i think. I try to make a conscious thought not to do that on my end, but I'm stubborn (his favorite trait of mine, haha) so when he gives me "tude" i shoot it right back! I think its stressful, but they are right..just think if we were doing the big wedding here, yikes! It will all work out!

Okay well its definately a relief knowing that this is somewhat "normal". I feel better knowing that there are other people who have gone through it and still had a great wedding. My Mom said my Dad was the exact same way when they got married and its just guys being guys! Hes lucky I love him or he'd be getting a smackdown for sure!!

        Thanks guys!

I think most FI go through this phase. He was the one that was always talking about getting married and the kids and our future before he asked me to marry him. Now that we are planning, he wants to put everything off and doesn't want to discuss. This drives me crazy. I just have to get him to compromise on setting a date by when a decision will be made and this usually works because he thinks it is on his time table

i think we've all been there at one point or another.

we said our wedding planning would be so stressfree, bla bla, etc. Wrong! Stress came from the weirdest places and really there isnt' much you can do to avoid it. Especially towards the end. We're less than 3 weeks away and I know the stress of making sure everything is finalized has caused some tense moments between FI and myself.
