What group activities are you planning the nights before your wedding?

Hi everyone. So I am still trying to plan something to do with my guests Wednesday night when they all arrive. As you know, throughout the wedding planning process everything seems to be a couple hundred dollars....and soon my budget is thrown out the window. What group welcome activities is everyone planning? And not to be tacky (but I am) ..how much did it approximately cost? I want to plan something fun (and most likely revolving around drinking..haha). Any ideas?smile105.gif

I just had "optional" meet-ups at different bars in the resort on the nights leading up to the wedding. That way, there was no additional charge, no pressure to attend, and it gave everyone a chance to mingle and meet.

Our rehearsal dinner was just a big reservation at a restaurant (our WC set it up ahead of time) with a pre-set menu and it didn't cost extra either.

There are plenty of options out there that won't cost you anything additional, luckily!!! :-)

We wanted to give ppl as much flexibility to do their own thing too! We are having a welcome dinner the night that everyone arrives (90% come in on Sunday) - the boys are organizing a golf afternoon for anyone who's interested and the girls will be doing a night out/stagette - other than that everyone is on their own - I am sure we will all meet up for dinners, drink etc.

We are sending a little information page out with out OOT bags that includes what we have organized. We didn't want anyone to feel obligated to attend anything either so we kept it pretty casual. The night we get there we suggested anyone who wanted to participate in a meet and greet to meet in the lobby bar at 7:00pm. The only other things we planned was a Jungle Booze Cruise that we paid for that includes snacks and drinks for everyone and then we planned a night out in downtown as a stag / stagette type of thing.

I attached our bag stuffer sheet for you to see.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
