Oh honey I am soooo sorry about your little sister, words can not express. Take one day at a time right now and know that your family will get through this... including your "family" right here!

Thoughts and prayers go out to your family in this time of need. Take this time to reflect and celebrate for everything she is and was.

Wait a bit on canceling, she is with you right now.

I am so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine what you are going through right now. But why don't you wait and give it some time before you cancel. Your sister would probably want you to be happy and still have your wonderful day. You could always have a moment for her as well as a chair for her with a flower on it in her memory. Whatever you decide to do, I wish you all of the best in this sad time...my thoughs and prayers are with you and your family.

grouphug.gif I know how hard this must be on you, I lost my father 2 years ago.

The best piece of advice I can give you is to stop and grieve, don't worry about anything else like the wedding. The first few weeks are probably the worst and even just waking up in the morning feels like to much sometimes. I know for me that even the little mundane things made me either want to cry or scream during that time.

After the funeral is over and you have been back to your daily routines for a couple weeks, that is the best time to start thinking about the wedding again. It will seem less overwhelming and you will be able to see things from perspectives other than the grieving process.

Please let us know if there is anything you need or anything we can do to support you. We are here to listen even if its just to talk. wink.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
