I am so sorry for your loss. We've all lost loved ones at some point in our lives, but when it's someone who is young and in the prime of their life and especially when it comes unexpectedly; it is even more difficult to bear.

I agree with SunBride - you probably need to take some time to grieve and deal with your loss, however long that takes. Sometimes, we think we are dealing with a loss extremely well, when in fact, we're not. I know when my Dad passed away; I wasn't able to attend any "happy" events for about 6 months. You will be affected in many different ways - not only emotionally, but physically and mentally, as this type of loss saps quite a bit of your energy.

I can't even expect you to accept my deepest deepest condolences. I'm so terribly sorry this has happened to you. I know that it's the last thing you want to hear, but going through this type of thing myself..... evertything always works out..... and it will for you too. Chin up. and smile....it's hard, ut you have TONZ of support right here. My prayers go out to you and your family. stay strong.

I am so sorry and nothing I can say will make it better but the girls are right - take a couple of weeks to not think about it then decide what to do.

My father is really ill and i've already said no matter what happens I will not cancel my wedding, FI's sister is also really ill and he has said the same. However that is us and everyone is different.

My friend's son was killed in Afghanistan and 2 weeks later his uncle got married she said it was a really hard day but a wonderful one 2 because it helped show her that life really did go on and that even if he wasn't there physically she knew he was there in spirit. I think they even kind of included him in the ceremony.

You'll make the decision thats right for you and FI when you need to xx

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
