Hmmm, I don't know for sure, but it might have to do with the way your account is set up.

Click on "My Account" on the left

then on "Charting profile/options" under "other settings"

and scroll all the way to the bottom

Are you using "Advanced" as your default detector? If not, change it to that and see if that helps. If it's not that, I'm not sure.

If you "friend" me, I think I can view your chart. Although, I am by no means the chart guru, I might be able to help. (carly375 or *carly* is what I am listed under, not sure how can you search for me though carly 375 is my signin, but *carly* is how it shows up when I post)

I'm thinking that it's not, unless you want in on the forum talks. I am not 100% sure what the uprades are, but if you are just trying to track, you can probably use the free one. Unless you want to use the forums. I barely use the forum part b/c it's not very user-friendly, so I could probably do w/o the paid membership.

If you use a regular multivitamin there may not be enough folic acid so make sure you look at the nutrition label. My doc has recommended I exercise not only to prepare my body but to calm my nerves. We have been TTY for just under a year now without success and they stress is definately a pregnancy buster. The exercise helps and makes me feel I am making tangible strides towards pregnancy.

  • 2 weeks later...

I have a question for you ladies- My period just began to regulate again since giving birth and it's now every 28-30 days. According to ovulation calendars, I would be ovulating around 14 days from the first day of my last period, right? But I also read to monitor the cervical mucus and I noticed that the time I have the greatest amount of mucus (sorry if it's TMI) isn't the same time as I would be ovulating according the the calendar. It seems to be a week apart. So, how do I know when I'm ovulating, my cervical mucus or by the calendar?

Definitely go more by your body then the calendar. The calendar everyone talks about works on the assumption that we all have 28 day cycles and we all ovulate around day 14 which gives us a 14 day luteal phase (time after ovulation and before your period, or when implantation occurs). It's rare that some is exactly that. My LP (luteal phase) tends to be about 10-11 days not the normal 14. And my cycles (pre-surgery) were always 31 days but I wasn't tracking ovulation then. After surgery, I have had about 6 cycles and they range from 27-35 (and possibly longer), with an ovulation day ranging from day 14-24.

I probably just made it all confusing, but my point was that those things you read are just examples, not the norm. The best way to know when you O is to track your temp every morning and look for the spike. Some people learn their CM and can track just from that, but mine isn't consistent enough for that.

Fertility Friend's free version would probably help you out. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll try to help.

I only use FF's free membership as well. I did the paid membership with Gwen, but pretty sure I don't need the additional services since I pretty much just record my temps.

I usually have 30-32 day cycles but tend to O on day 17-19, not as early as day 14. So your body is more accurate than any calendar that just takes averages.

Also, I could never rely on my CM ... never seems consistant enough, or maybe I wasn't observant enough.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
