Pre Cruise Newsletter?

Are any of you sending out a pre cruise newsletter? We are about 4 months from our sailing and it I have been pondering this one. If you are sending one out how far in advance will you do this? I'm doing a welcome book with their thank you gifts sent in the mail about a month before we leave. Is a newsletter too much? Will they even care? It's hard for me to have an unbiased opinion because I am so freaking excited for my wedding cruise! I think anything to do with the wedding and cruise is fun! But I know not everyone is in my deliriously happy boat elefant.gif!

Good question Andrea! I have been thinking about doing one as well, but if we do we will not send it out more than 60 days until the cruise, b/c we won't know our final guest list until then. Part of me doesn't want to bother with it, but I would like to let people know about the excursion we made reservations for as soon as possible so they can join in if they want. Let me know if you come across a good template!

I would definitely send out a newsletter. Yes, the most important thing to you and your fiance is the wedding but everyone is going on a cruise! What's not to be deliriously happy about! If I was invited to a wedding cruise, I would be thrilled to receive any little tidbits that will help get ready for it! I say GO FOR IT! I think I will send our newsletter out about 60 days prior to sailing (if we have anyone going with us!)

Thanks for your input girls! I thought it was a good idea and ran it by a coworker. She gave me a funny look and didn't say anything. I could tell she wasn't feeling the idea and wanted to be nice about it. But she's not going on the cruise so she can't feel the same excitement we all have. I think i'm going to do it! I'll post if I come up with something worthy of mailing out.

I've been downloading a few over the past year to get ideas for our letter. We ended up creating a passport welcome book instead and actually just mailed them off yesterday. I still love the idea of a newsletter to send ahead of time or to put in their cabins on the first day of the cruise. I will attach the various newsletters that others have shared with me :)

Okay, one attachment won't load for some reason. It's a save the week/save the date newsletter instead of a pre cruise newsletter. If you are interested PM me with your email address and I can try to send it that way.

Hey

I think the newsletter is a great idea. I plan to send one as well maybe 2 months prior to the cruise. Right after balances are due. Many of my friends are first time cruisers so the newsletter would be perfect for them. But I also have a website that everyone can view as often as necessary. (the link is in my siggy if you want to check it out).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
