lol - that's what i do, make jokes about it! paul's dad said last night "i heard you had a new shower put in" - i said "yep, it's really convenient too, right off the kitchen." what can you do!?

really it's a question of iw the association pays, or the guy upstairs. under most association rules, it would be the guy upstairs - i just don't know this association, since paul is the technical ownerof this condo, i just moved in with him last Fall. and he hasn't at all given us any trouble yet, i am just really hoping he doesn't.

that's the first thing i said to Paul too - "good thing i was home this week" - what a mess!

Ann, you should just have your insurance take care of it. They will subrogate with whoever is resonsible, but you shouldn't have to deal with that stress.

But, I know how you feel. We built our house two years ago and for some weird reason I decided to go into the basement one morning (no clue why because we don't have anything of importance in our basement), good thing I did. The plumber never connected two pipes and our basement was filling up with water at an alarming rate! AHHH!!! Stressful. But, it'll be OK.

yikes!

well, remember we move in 2.5 weeks - if i let insurance handle this, i'd never get it done fast enough! i am hoping to be able to cancel my travel plans and work from home next week too just so i can be here when any workers need to come in.

Oh Ann this sucks! I'm sorry you're dealing with this right now. What a PITA! At least you're able to make light of it and are fortunate to be able to rearrange your work to be around for repairs. I'm crossing my fingers for you that everything gets done quickly and smoothly!

thanks Sarah, and everyone! now i just need Paul to make his phone calls. lol - he hates uncomfortable situations, so i think he's putting off calling the owner upstairs. i would - but he doesn't know me, and paul already has a relationship w/him. AHHH!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
