Help with Dreams prices!

If they are staying at the hotel it's $56 a person for everything including dinner and drinks. If you want to do a higher dinner (better food) that price goes up a bit but not much. Im still not sure about the $89 for people not staying at Dreams. There is also a kid price which is 50% off for ages under 12. Hope that helps! Its a GREAT deal!!

I've been struggling as well trying to figure out "exactly" how much everything is going to cost...it seems I never get a straight answer from Yesica (my wedding coordinator)....one of the first emails she sent me stated this:

"For the Dreams of love package above people price is 58 usd per person including the ceremony, cocktail and reception.

Yes all food and drinks included, if you want to bring your own alcohol the corkage fee per bottle is 15 usd.

The regular centrepieces that we have are the hurricanes and attached I send you a picture, but if you want something different and you have a picture will be better if you send it to me and I will check the price"

I further asked about centerpieces then, and she sent me back this:

Q: We would like 3 different sized hurricane vases with candles on each circular table with fuscha rose pedals around them.

A: "Attached I send you the picture that I think is your idea, please let me know and the price with the candle and rose petals the set of 3 are 25 usd. Also we can put the 3 bases on a mirror and looks really pretty, and the price is 40 usd per set."

...so I dont know if any regular centerpeice is even included in the wedding package fee.

Other decor fees Yesica has told me are:

Bag of Rose pedals: $40 USD

Votives: $2 USD each

Fuscha Chair Bows (maybe other colors as well): 2 USD each

Luminaires: $ 1 USD each

....It seems to me everything is going to just keep adding up....any input from previous brides!?!? What is necessary for decor?!?!

Yesica is my coordinator as well and it's driving me nuts! I can't seem to get a straight answer either. I told her I'm bringing my own chair bows, and she's saying that its still 2 USD to set them up. Maybe we should offer a flat amount and tell them what all we want included for that price. I'm getting a little worried that by the time we check out of the hotel, they're going to want my first-born!

I hear ya....exact same thing here, I bought our chair bows on ebay for cheap, thinking they could just set them up for me without charge...and she keeps saying 2 USD each....i was hoping it was the language barrier, and that she was just unsure of what i was asking/saying...if that is the case i might just have some of my friends put up the chair bows...

Did she say anything to you about charging to put your favors out??

What other extra costs should we be expecting?!?!!?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
