I actually saw it twice...and for free! haha I called the theatre about our movie melting and they let us back in. Still liked it and yes Jasper is kinda odd. His face cracks me up! And Alice doesn't have that big of a role either.

i also loved the movie & only had a couple of complaints.

was was going on with all the tree climbing? i don't remember any of that happening in the books.

& i didn't like how the cullens showed up while bella was being attacked...

or how the movie ended at prom.

but i must say i was not expecting the movie to be that good at all! i was completely surprised!! even DH liked it & begged me to tell him the rest of the story. :)

Just got back from seeing this movie. Now, I'm probably one of the rare people that saw the movie but haven't read the books yet. I LOVED the movie and now I can't wait to read the books! I really didn't mind any of the stuff that people say they didn't like- the way Edward's skin looked, the way Bella breathed like she was scared, etc. I think it made the idea more realistic in my opinion, because in the movie I don't think they painted the picture enought that she wasn't really scared. She said she wasn't scared, but I thought the fact that she seemed a little more scared just made the movie more realistic.

I've become newly obsessed with the series. I read the first 3 books in 3 days. I left the 4th with the IL's and had to wait for it to get back to me. I started reading at 11 last night and was up until 4 before I forced myself to sleep. I want to know the ending!

I agree that the books are great pieces of literature, but are very entertaining. Her voice is almost conversational so it's easy to get wrapped up, KWIM?

I haven't seen the movie yet. I'm debating if I should go or wait for DVD. A friend said if she hadn't read the book to know what was going on, she wouldn't have like the movie as much.

I also don't know anything about the actors and again haven't seen the movie, but I wouldn't have chosen those 2 necessarily as leads. I pictured Bella as Alexis Bledel (from Gilmore Girls) but I guess her eyes are too blue. From what I've seen Edward doesn't look super hot like he's supposed to be.

PS - I need to buy another copy of book 1 so they all match. I have the cheap-o movie paperback from the airport because I didn't know if I would like them.

I saw this movie last night and I haven't read any of the books...yet! I really enjoyed this movie, more than I thought I would! It's romantic, but not cheesy. I thougt the acting was very good too. The only thing that would have made it better was if there weren't as many giddy, giggly women in the theater. There were two ladies sitting beside us who were giggling like schoolgirls the whole movie! Ugh!

I will definitely be picking up the books asap!! cheesy.gif

i was thinking the same thing!! i thought she would be more like i pictured her from reading the books & less "drop-dead-gorgeous" !!

Sorry for the bump...I got the first two books for Christmas, and even though I thought the movie was good enough, I just wanted to say that the books are 10000000000000000000000000000 times better than the movie. The movie is still good, but while I was reading the first book, I would sit here and think "why wasn't this in the movie? or this? This could have really added to a scene". Oh well, I understand that you can't usually put 500 pages worth of content in to a two hour movie.

I'm on New Moon now, love it so far!! cheesy.gif

Yeah, I think they left out a lot of important stuff. I was having to explain a lot of things to Dh while we were watching it.

So I just finished reading Twilight (I read 362 pages in one sitting lol) and watching the movie as we speak (yes, on the 'net....). I absolutely LOVE LOVE this book. I can't wait to go get New Moon tomorrow. I just ordered Eclipse on Amazon today so I don't have to wait after I'm done with New Moon. All I can say is.. I want my own vampire. ahhh.. he's so.. brooding.. and sexy..

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
