Yes - my FI and I met online. :) I was 'playing the field', and really not interested in a serious relationship at the time. LOL! But, we hit it off immediately online.... and, I really didn't want our first date to end. I'd committed to him within a month or so (although it took me a lot longer to admit it)! I consider myself so lucky to have met him, and am really looking forward to our future together! :)

We have a mutual friend who insisted that we added each other to our messengers as he was convinced that FFI would "just love me". Okay a little creepy right?! We obliged and added one another, but didn't talk very often... only every couple of months or so just to say 'Hi', that was about it. Two years or so later FFI (who didn't live in the same city) was in town and staying with our mutual friend. My friends and I were having a party and invited the mutual friend who brough FFI.....we hit it off immediately, and well, the rest is history! So I guess we 'technically' met on the internet first!

We did too! We actually met on Yahoo personals. Best decision I have ever made! I pretty much went on there because I just wanted to date and have fun after the end of a long term relationship that was lame. I met my FI and he was so great and sweet and we had the most amazing first date.

We didnt even talk online or the phone more than a few emails and a single call. I was like hey lets just meet and see if we like each other!

So now, I would recommend online dating to anyone...

I am also an online dater!!! LOL

I met my husband on myspace!!!

Funny thing is that his profile and pics looked nothing like his current state!

So when I met him, I was turned off, but his personality and charming ways kept me coming back for more!

...We just got married in November, and we are truly happy!

It looks like online dating is becoming the new and improved way to meet and screen people!

It works!!!

I met my fiance on-line as well! On MATCH.com of all places... Who would of thought I would meet the man I would spend the rest of my life with on a dating website. I had just moved to Houston for work and didn't know a soul, so my mom signed me up for Match.com so I would meet people. We first emailed about a month before we met and then we met 2 weeks before Christmas 2007 and never left each others side. He did a supprise proposal at the end of November 2008 and now we are planning our destination wedding in Mexico for May 2009! Who says you can't meet your dream guy online?? Just remember it doesn't matter how you meet, just that you do meet!

We met online through Match.com...I was living in a different state but moving to where he lived, and we talked online intermittently for about 6 months before meeting in person. I actually just posted our full meeting and engagement story as a new thread - read only if you have some time and/or are bored. :)

yes, yes, yes! i met my fiancee online too!! i used to deny it and say that we meet in school. i thought people would think it was strange, but now i'm so proud and happy!

we met on migente.com (a hispanic social networking site). he actually sent me a message asking me if i knew his ex-girlfriend. he thought i went to school with her...lol. we were friends at first and he was actually my go to person to vent to when i was having problems with the guy i was seeing at the time. how funny!

we spoke on the phone a few times and eventually we meet in person. 7 years later...he asked me to "have his babies" (literally that's what he said with the engagement ring box upside down). of course i said yes!!

i'm so happy to see there's so much love on the internet!!

We met on OKCupid.com-- it was a total fluke too! I hadn't been using the site much but a couple of girlfriends convinced me to look online in Atlanta because there wasn't much of a dating pool where I lived at the time. FI had just moved to Atlanta and didn't know anyone, so he was going on random Internet dates. I saw his profile and decided to message him. We e-mailed back and forth for a few days and then started calling each other. We met in person 2 weeks later. And we've been together ever since!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
