We did too! smile29.gif

I love reading all these happy stories popcorn.gif

We were both on Plenty of Fish (free site). I'd been on it about 6 months and only gone on a few crappy dates, but had finally met a guy I liked in September. By November, that army guy and I were meeting up (it was long-distance) and liked eachother. I had put FI's profile in my favorites, because it was so cute.

His profile was from his (now our) dog's perspective. It was so cute and funny. About what kind of girl he would look for for his owner. His name was owner of a spoiled dog. I don't even think his photo was up initially.

Anyway, in November, FI emailed me, but I was with army dude. I wrote back because he sounded so genuine and sweet. I told him what was going on and that I was sorry, but dating someone else.

Then in December, he saw me at the grocery store, but didn't introduce himself.

After Christmas, army dude ended up being army jerk, so I was kind of sick of dating. I went online to delete my profile in April having not used the service since September. FI's profile popped up on the screen with all the others and I recognized it immediately. I shot him off an email really quickly saying I remembered him and wondered how he was and that I was going offline and gave him my email address.

He emailed back, we had one bad first date on July 29th, one hilarious second date and after the third date the following week and the rest is history! I moved in with him in October and we got engaged in March.

He is absolutely perfect for me. We are so happy that we found eachother. smile72.gif

Ryan and I met online as well. We met on plentyoffish.com, actually only talked a cpl times for a few hours each before we met. But that was because I was going to a wedding about 45 mins away from where he lived at the time, so I stopped in to where he was working for dinner on my way to the wedding to quickly say hi. After that, we were hooked, texting each other all weekend and meeting again on my way home. A month later he moved closer to me, and soon after that, in with me.

We initially met online, through Myspace. I can't remember the exact situation. I think I was browsing a friend's profile and came across FI's. I complimented him on his photography, since we both photographed weddings. I thought he was really awesome, but wasn't really looking for anyone. For three months straight I was trying to hook him up with the owner of the dance studio I taught at... and she wasn't interested. Then there was a large convention in town that I was speaking and performing at, and he was shooting. We met in person at the pre-party for the first time, hung out the entire weekend, and the rest is history!

Yes we meet online. On yahoo personals. I was so frustrated with the whole process that I had decided I was going to contact this one person and if he did not reply I was going to stop looking. I had gone on some pretty bad dates and I was getting so stressed out over the whole online dating scene. Well it took him 3 weeks to reply. I had given up and was going in that day to delete my profile. He also was about to delete his profile when he noticed that I had contacted him. We chatted a few nights on msn, then a few nights on the phone and meet in person for dinner and a movie and we have been together eversince. We are planning a beach wedding in Punta Cana on our 5 year anniversary of meeting in person Dec 1.

We met online too. But it might be a little bit odd comparing to a lot of you.

We met via ICQ's white page where you can set some sort of search criterias. I was doing a random search in local area for some new friends to chat, and bump into him. It worked out pretty well for us.

Man, it's 9 years ago! Our story still amazed many friends~

i was always skeptical about meeting someone on-line...or even at church (because my dad went to church just to find a woman:) but im a skeptic about EVERYTHING! one reason i didnt try online match sites was because i didnt trust myself to pick a good man, i wanted to leave it in Gods hands to deliver the fellow in some mystical, magical way:) sooo, i ended up meeting him at work and turns out we went to the same church out of ALL of the churches in San Diego but we never saw eachother at church until after we met at work. so that was one way for me to see God's fingerprint on the one He chose for me. i have to be honest though! everytime i get annoyed with my "God sent", i always wonder what it would have been like to of been able to meet someone based on all of their interests and looks ect. (not that my husband isnt HOT!:) like you can online but im finding as time goes by, we change so much anyway, it probably wouldnt matter.

We also met online! For us it was plentyoffish. I'd met a few guys before him and wasn't impressed....but as soon as Kirk and I met, we were inseperable!

...He's lucky I forgave him for cancelling what was supposed to be our first date and gave him a second chance! :) (ok, ok, I'm lucky as well)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
